Every accomplished rider you see in the ring began with a first lesson, a first wobbly canter, and a first moment of uncertainty.
Confidence, knowledge, and horsemanship are developed over time through consistent practice, patient coaching, and a culture that celebrates effort. You do not need to be a natural athlete or arrive with any special background. You just need curiosity, a willingness to listen, and the courage to try.
At Rising Talent, we care far more about where a rider wants to go than where they are today.
Lesson program or show-focused training program?
Both are wonderful. They simply serve different goals. Here is how to think about the difference.
Enjoy riding recreationally.
A traditional lesson program is ideal for riders who want to enjoy horses once in a while, learn the basics, and keep riding as a fun activity without a larger commitment.
Grow with structure and support.
We offer riding lessons, but we are also a show-focused training program designed for riders who want to ride consistently, develop strong horsemanship, set personal goals, and potentially explore horse shows as their skills progress.
Neither path is better. They are simply different. Our program is built for families who want riding to be a meaningful, growth-oriented part of life.
Do I need to own a horse?
Absolutely not. Many riders begin on one of our carefully selected lesson horses or ponies and progress beautifully for months or years before any conversation about leasing or buying takes place.
As riders gain experience and their goals evolve, some families choose to lease or purchase a horse. We help guide families through that decision if and when the time is right. There is never an expectation to do so.

The emphasis is always on helping riders reach their goals, not ours. Progress is personal. We are here to support each rider at the pace that fits their life, their budget, and their ambitions.

Not at all. We work with brand-new riders as well as riders who have been in the saddle for years. Our program is built around meeting you where you are and helping you grow from there.
